Welcome to the new website for Motherwell District Pool League.
Over the next few weeks the site will be developed to include new functions and features, but in the meantime........
1. Users will have to re-register (preferably using the same details in the old site
2. If you don't like the colour scheme, you have the option to change it using the "Theme Switcher" panel on the top right.......Personally, my favourites are Phidget, Black Glass and Blade v7, If you liked the old website, then "Gilette" is probably the nearest match.
3. There are now enhanced smilies.....use the smiley button to see the gallery
4. Security has been increased on the new site
5. Whilst a significant amount of data/ information has been imported from the old site, some will be lost. Some will also be uploaded over the coming weeks.
6. When registering/ logging in, entries are now case sensitive
If there is anything else you need to know, just ask!

ps. There is a slight problem with the users online panel at the bottom. Its trying to bring up an image for each user. This should be a relatively simple bug fix and I will get round to it in the next day or 2.

Also, in case youve lost any old content you wish to keep, the last site has been archived at http://motherwell...
We'll keep it there for a month or 2 at least.

Do any of the pubs that we play in have internet access, maybe we could have live scoring at league games.

Its a possibility.....but it might just be easier for one of the teams to use a mobile/ pda...quite a few folk have them

This site took me about a month to do. Teemas is the best person to ask......he might be able to do it (or at least get Bill to upload a newer version of the software)

In the "Downloads" section (link on the left), you can now download and print off teamsheets, New signings sheet, Transfers sheet and the full current fixtures list for this season.

Just to let everyone know that a draft copy of the new constitution is available on the website....by clicking the "constitution" weblink on the left (funnily enough)
Anyway, I would be grateful if the members could have a look through it and let their team captains know if there are any issues you think should be addressed. Ideally, we can get this fine tuned at the next meeting with a view to getting the final version agreed at the AGM, just over a month away. Most of it is fairly standard stuff. Any new parts or points for discussion are highlighted in red.

As you may have noticed, we are now offering advertising on the Motherwell Pool Website. Costs are from £50 - £100 for a year and include any necessary artwork/ design and we can link the advert directly to your website (if you have one)
We will only accept 1 advert for any industry, eg Plasterer, band, joiner etc so if you take out an advert you are guaranteed exclusivity. Any league sponsors will also have an advert published as part of their package.
As well as this, the website continues to be developed adding extra functionality. For team captains (or anyone else) you can download any forms such as teamsheets, transfers, registration forms and rules. The latest addition is the link at the top left which shows a map, directions and contact details for all the venues in the league.
The site will continually be upgraded, but if there is anything you would like to be included, just ask and I'll see what I can do.
Hope you're all enjoying the site so far.
